The Queen

Ann Najjar, better known as “The Mitt Queen” was born and raised in San Diego after her parents moved here from Baghdad, Iraq.

She’s a professional boxing coach out of San Diego, she trains boxers, mixed martial arts fighters, professionals, amateurs, high-profile athletes (NBA and NFL), and celebrities. She is best known for her skills in holding the mitts in the boxing ring for the athletes she trains. She got her title after many athletes couldn’t handle the fast-paced mitt sessions with her.

She began her boxing journey in 2009. It was the first time she watched her older brother, a mixed martial arts fighter, in a professional fight which inspired her to learn more about the sport. After taking her first class, the rest was history.

From being a student, she became a boxing coach and has mastered the art of mitt holding for over 10 years. She knows what it takes to have a goal and achieve it.
